What are your hours?
Traditionally, our grill is open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. serving lunch and dinner. We are open every day with the exception of Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. ***With COVID-19 Regulations this is subject to change***
Do have camping available?
Sorry, we do not. There are public and private campgrounds in the area, however. Our lodging includes 20 motel rooms and 2 lodges.
Do you sell gas?
Yes. We offer premium ethanol-free gas. Gas is generally available for purchase by 8:00 a.m. Please pump and then pay at the bar.
Do you have trail maps or trail passes?
We have trail maps available for purchase at the bar. However, the Buckhorn Resort is not a DNR-licensed agent and we do not sell trail passes. Please purchase one along your way - often available at local gas stations and online.
Is smoking allowed in the Buckhorn?
Michigan state law prohibits smoking in public establishments, including restaurants, motels, & lodges. This law includes e-cigarette, vaping, and marijuana. Please be respectful of others when smoking outdoors and be aware of open windows. Please dispose of your cigarette ends & other garbage responsibly. If you are found to have been smoking in your room or lodge, we will assess a deep cleaning charge.
How far is it to the Pictured
Rocks National Lakeshore?
The Pictured Rocks Lakeshore spans over 40 miles along Lake Superior, between Munising and Grand Marais. We are located aproximately 15 miles south of the city of Munising, where many of the cruise ships are based.
